Why did you decide to get a rat? I mean, a lot of people think they are nothing but gross animals that carry disease. How did you overcome this stereotype and bring home your rats? Just Curious  .

Well, my cousins brought home a rat and I just seen how cute and cuddly it was and wanted one for myself.

I had been looking for a pet for a while. I wanted a social pet that is playful and doesn't cost too much. Someone recommended getting rats and after researching them I completely fell in love. If only I could make my mom fall in love.
For a while I was scared of their tails...hehehe.
I wish one of my neighbor's had a pet rat that I could rat-sit so my parents would see what a cool pet a rat is. I keep sending my mom cute pictures of rats through email hehehe

My daughter had just lost 2 mice, and saw some rats at a pet shop, we did some research on the internet and Harry and Bart came home to live with us  , then she lost interest  , but i had been bitten ( so to speak ) by the rat bug  and now have 9 lovely boys, and can't see any time in the future that i will ever be ratless again.

I walked into this pet store and saw a baby rat. I already had about ten mice and so i liked rats too. I went to pet him and he jumped onto me and cuddled in my arms. I was in LOVE! So i begged my parents but considering they wanted to go on vacation and we already had a bunny an aquarium and ten mice and we were a family of 4 living in a 2 bedroom apartment....they said no. Anyway to make a long story short i tried everything to convince them, it didnt work but he was being mistreated at the pet store so my mum felt sorry for him and i prayed for the rat and i tried begging mum 1 more time and it worked finally . so here i am and here's jedediah.
